Pinku Terms of Service
Effective date: 15 October 2026
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Kaushal Chandrasekar, an individual based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Pinku", "we", "us"), and cover your use of the Pinku mobile app, the website pinku.fyi and related services (together, the "Service").
By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://pinku.fyi/privacy/). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Important: Pinku is planning information, not advice
Please read this section carefully.
1.1 Pinku shows general information about visas, entry rules and travel to help you plan. It is not legal, immigration, visa, customs, health or travel advice. We are not a law firm, a government body, an airline or a travel agent.
1.2 Entry rules change often and without notice, and the information can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. It comes from public sources such as Wikipedia and official government websites. It is gathered and processed automatically, partly with computer software including AI tools, and it is not checked by a lawyer. Rules can also depend on facts about you that Pinku does not know, such as your travel history, criminal record, the purpose and length of your trip, the documents you carry, how you travel, and the decision of the officer at the border.
1.3 That is why Pinku shows a confidence level, a "last checked" date and a link to an official source. "Confirmed" means our information matched an official source on the last-checked date. It is not a guarantee that the rule still applies or that it applies to you.
1.4 Before you book or travel, you must check the current requirements yourself with the official government sources of every country you will enter or pass through (including their embassies or consulates) and with your airline or other carrier. You are solely responsible for having the right passports, visas, permits, health documents and other documents, and for meeting all entry, transit and exit requirements.
1.5 To the fullest extent the law allows, Pinku is not responsible for any decision you make using the Service, including if you are refused boarding, refused entry or transit, detained, deported, fined, or lose money on bookings, travel, visas or fees.
2. Who can use Pinku
2.1 You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live.
2.2 You must not use the Service if the law forbids you to, or if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms.
3. Your account
3.1 You can browse the map, the reveal and country information without an account. Some features (for example saving your profile to the cloud and linking with a partner) need an account, which you create by signing in with Apple or Google.
3.2 Keep access to your Apple or Google account secure. You are responsible for activity on your Pinku account. Tell us at support@pinku.fyi if you think someone else has used it.
3.3 You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. Pinku's results depend on what you enter.
4. Couples, partners and invites
4.1 Pinku lets two people link as a couple. When linked, each partner can see the other's Pinku profile (display name, mascot, passports, home city and residency documents).
4.2 If you enter details about your partner, you confirm that you have their permission and that the details are accurate to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for that information. Your partner can change it when they join, and you can delete it at any time.
4.3 Invite links and codes are personal. Share them only with the person you intend to invite. An invite expires after 7 days and can be used once.
4.4 Either partner can unlink at any time. Unlinking ends the other partner's access to your profile straight away.
4.5 We are not responsible for disputes between partners or for how a partner uses information they could see while you were linked.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any law, or use the Service to harass, stalk, threaten or harm anyone;
- enter someone's details without their permission, or pretend to be someone else;
- use offensive or unlawful content in your display name or anything else you enter;
- try to guess, collect or misuse other people's invite links or codes, or get around rate limits or security;
- access, scrape, copy or download the Service or other users' data by automated means, except the published entry dataset as allowed in section 7.2;
- reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the Service, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- overload, disrupt or attack the Service or the systems it runs on;
- use the Service to build a competing product using our software, design or brand.
We may suspend or close accounts, remove content or limit access if we reasonably believe someone has broken these Terms or the law, or to protect users or the Service.
6. Third-party sites, bookings and services
6.1 Pinku is a planning tool. We do not sell travel, take payments for bookings, or act as an agent for any provider. Links to airlines, hotels, booking sites, official websites or other third parties are provided for convenience. Any purchase or booking is a contract between you and that third party, under their terms.
6.2 We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, their content, prices, availability, products, services or privacy practices.
6.3 Sign-in is provided by Apple and Google, and the app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Their own terms also apply to you.
7. Intellectual property and licences
7.1 Pinku's app, website, software, design, mascots, artwork, name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the app-store rules. These Terms do not give you any other rights in them.
7.2 The entry dataset. The published travel-entry dataset contains material from Wikipedia and other sources. It is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0) (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/), and Pinku adds no restriction on its reuse under that licence. Where it includes UK government travel information, it "contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0". The dataset is provided as is, for general information. Entry rules change; always confirm with the official source before travel. To the extent the law allows, Pinku is not liable for decisions made using this data. The CC BY-SA 4.0 licence covers the dataset only, not Pinku's app, design, mascots or brand.
7.3 Your content. You keep ownership of the information you enter. You give us the permission we need to store, process, display and transmit it (including to your linked partner) to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you delete the information or your account, except for copies in backups that are overwritten in the normal course.
7.4 Feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
8. Changes to the Service; availability
8.1 The Service is currently provided free of charge. We may add, change or remove features, or stop the Service, at any time. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price and any extra terms before you pay.
8.2 We do not promise that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own records of anything important to your travel.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL INFORMATION IN IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. THIS INCLUDES ANY WARRANTY OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY ENTRY, VISA OR TRAVEL INFORMATION IS CORRECT, CURRENT OR APPLICABLE TO YOU.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PINKU AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
(a) any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages;
(b) any loss of profits, revenue, savings, bookings, travel, deposits, fees, visa or application costs, data, goodwill or opportunity;
(c) any loss or damage arising from refused boarding, refused entry or transit, detention, deportation, fines, penalties, missed travel, or reliance on any information in the Service; or
(d) any loss or damage caused by third parties, including third-party sites, providers, airlines, authorities, or your partner;
whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, and even if we were told such loss was possible.
10.2 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) USD 50.
10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as a consumer. If you live in a country whose law gives you rights that these Terms cannot override, those rights apply, and the limits above apply only as far as that law allows.
11. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pinku and its owners, officers and contractors from any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from: your breach of these Terms or the law; information you enter about another person, including your partner; or your misuse of the Service. This section does not apply to consumers where local law forbids it.
12. Ending your use; account deletion
12.1 You can stop using Pinku at any time. You can delete your account in the app (Account, then Delete account) or at https://pinku.fyi/delete-account/. Deletion is permanent and is described in the Privacy Policy.
12.2 We may suspend or end your access as described in section 5, or if we stop providing the Service. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.
12.3 Sections 1, 4.5, 6, 7.2, 7.4 and 9 to 16 survive the end of these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
14. Governing law and disputes
14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
14.2 Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us at support@pinku.fyi so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
14.3 The courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country.
15. App-store terms
If you downloaded Pinku from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Pinku, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product, intellectual-property or other claims about the app. To the maximum extent the law permits, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on any US government list of restricted parties. Google Play's terms apply in the same way to downloads from Google Play.
16. General
16.1 Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
16.2 Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and the affected part is applied as far as the law allows.
16.3 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up.
16.4 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example as part of a sale or reorganisation of Pinku, without reducing your rights.
16.5 Force majeure. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
16.6 Language. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails as far as the law allows.
